Comparing it with her real life in the movie she goes swiming the night before haloween with her best friend alana and her father but in her real life she goes in the haloween morning at 7:00 am.I think that her accident is a way to show people how you can have accidents in things but if you have faith and compromise you can still do things many things in life.
Subsequently, Bethany lets the reporters interview her. One asks her what she would do if given the chance to undo the loss of her arm. She says that she would still lose it because she can embrace more people now than she ever could with both. The film ends with real video of Bethany surfing after the attack. Also showing video of interviews and special appearances that she has made.
I think this movie is a very good comparison with her life because besides that it shows that she supposed to have faith on her self to do things it also shows that god is very beautiful and he can make any miracle possible hes there with you wherever whenever and however you need him hell be there by your side to listen to you and to help you and to listen to you in your neeed this movie shows people that no matter what you have to believe because you have capacity to do things because if a miracle left armless girl can do that in such a good way it means you can do it also and maybe as twice as beter this movie its like an example for people to realize where lidfe can take you because no matter what you can do things things are possible in life i really recoment this movie even if your religiously a christian or not this movie shows the greatness of the world.

Bethany Meilani Hamilton (born February 8, 1990) is an American professional surfer. She is known for surviving a shark attack in which she lost her left arm, and for overcoming the injury to ultimately return to professional surfing. She wrote about her experience in the 2004 autobiography Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board. In April 2011, the feature film Soul Surfer was released, based on the book and additional interviews. Hamilton has appeared on several shows since the loss of her arm. Hamilton is also a Christian.
On October 31, 2003, at the age of 13 , Hamilton went for a morning surf along Tunnels Beach, Kauai with best friend Alana Blanchard and Alana's father and brother. Around 7:30 a.m., with numerous turtles in the area, she was lying on her surfboard with her left arm dangling in the water, when a 14–15 foot long tiger shark attacked her ripping her left arm off just below the shoulder. The Blanchards helped paddle her back to shore, then Alana's father fashioned a tourniquet out of a surfboard leash and wrapped it around the stump of her arm, before rushing her toWilcox Memorial Hospital. By the time she had gotten there she had lost over 60% of her blood. Her father was supposed to have knee surgery that morning, but she took his place in the operating room. She then spent seven more days in recovery at the hospital.
Despite the trauma of the incident, Hamilton was determined to return to surfing and did get back into the water. Less than one month after the incident, she returned to her board and went surfing again. Initially, she adopted a custom-made board that was longer and slightly thicker, making it easier to paddle. She has observed that she has to kick a lot more to make up for the loss of her left arm. After teaching herself to surf with one arm, on January 10, she entered a major competition. She is now back to using competitive performance short-boards.
In July 2004, Hamilton won the Best Comeback Athlete ESPY Award.[3] She was also presented with a special "courage award" at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards.
